Window installation checklist before handover

Frame and opening checks

• Confirm the frame is level, plumb, square, and aligned with the finished wall surface.
• Check that fixing points are firm and placed as per the system recommendation.
• Look for bending, twisting, visible gaps, or pressure marks around the frame.

Glass and gasket checks

• Inspect the glass for scratches, chips, cracks, stain marks, and incorrect orientation.
• Confirm gaskets are continuous, seated properly, and not stretched or cut short.
• Check that glazing beads are locked and corners are neat.

Drainage and sealant checks

• Confirm weep holes and drainage paths are open.
• Check external sealant for continuous contact with both surfaces.
• Reject messy, cracked, thin, or incomplete sealant lines before final payment.

Hardware and operation checks

Open and close every shutter several times. Rollers should move smoothly, locks should engage fully, handles should feel firm, hinges should not scrape, and sliding shutters should not jump the track.
